As per newsletter, the National Grid are making some changes to the power distribution in the area, and we need to power everything down to avoid potential issues when power is running on a generator. The whole IT infrastructure will be turned off at 5.30pm and once generator power is stable, the IT systems will be powered back up again. This takes quite some time, so a return of IT systems is estimated at around 9pm, if not sooner hopefully. System which are cloud hosted can still be accessed outside of the College, such as email, Teams, SIMS, etc, so most of the restrictions are in the College.

This scheduled maintenance affected: Networking infrastructure (Wireless, Switching and cabling), Administration systems (Telephony, PSF Finance system, Finance Helpdesk, Maintenance Helpdesk, IT Helpdesk, Admin Helpdesk, Impero, Door Access System), and Common Services (Edulink, Internet services, Print and Copy, College Website, Parent Evening System, Remote Access System, Central Resources Library, My Documents, Audio Visual).
